which classes should i sign up for?
If you are new to pole dancing, you will start at our Intro to Pole class! We require ALL new students take 3-5 Intro classes before getting instructor approval to level up.
If you have taken pole classes before, please email us at ParadigmPoleFitness@gmail.com so that we can place you in the right level! Bachelorette pole parties do NOT count as having taken a class.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
FOR POLE: You should wear short shorts and a tank top. Sports Bras are recommended for protection and support. You'll need to have a lot of skin exposed to stick to the pole. Fabric will slide right off the pole, giving you no grip. You do not need shoes - class is done barefoot.
NO LOTION! As you sweat the lotion will be released back to the surface and cause you to have no grip (unless it's water-based ex: Lubriderm)
Please remove all jewelry before class as it will damage the pole.
***Under garments are not appropriate attire and you will not be allowed to participate if wearing only under garments.
FOR NON-POLE: Yoga appropriate attire.
IF I SHOW UP LATE, CAN I STILL JOIN THE CLASS?
You are required to show up at least 10-15 min ahead of class, as we have a “No Entry” policy if you arrive late for your safety. Arrive early enough to change and be ready to start class on time or you will not be permitted to join and will not be refunded.
CAN I JUST WALK IN?
Classes can fill up quickly, so you are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to ensure your spot in class. We do accept walk in students if there is an open space in class. Class may also be cancelled due to low attendance so always check our schedule before you come in!
DO I NEED A DANCE BACKGROUND?
No you don’t! You will learn everything you need to know at our classes. Start in the beginner classes on the schedule, and slowly work your way up as you gain confidence and skill!
I HAVE NO UPPER BODY STRENGTH! WILL THAT BE A PROBLEM?
It is not a problem! Our job is to get you stronger quickly so we will teach you everything you need to know on how to become stronger in your upper body, core and all over body fitness.
what do I need to bring?
We recommend bringing water for class, but other than that, just yourselves! We supply yoga mats for warm up, cubbies for your belongings, towels for the pole.
