MUSICIANSHIP IN DANCE WORKSHOP
7/26 @ 4PM / $15
This hands-on workshop bridges the gap between music and movement, helping dancers who don't read music or play an instrument develop a deeper ear for the music they dance to. Led by music teachers, participants learn to identify rhythm, tempo, phrasing, dynamics, and structure (verses, choruses, breaks) within a song the building blocks that shape great choreography. Through listening exercises, hands-on exploration of instruments or beats, dancers gain practical tools to "hear" music more intentionally; recognizing where accents fall, how phrases build and resolve, and how to time movement to match a song's emotional arc.
No musical background required!
